First impressions always count and it’s important you portray a professional image, so that you can foster a good relationship moving forward with your clients.
There are 5 important steps to follow to remind yourself before you meet and greet the client:
Have a nice appearance - Always check your appearance before you leave home. Uniform neat and tidy. Your shirt must be ironed with a spare shirt in your vehicle.
Be on time – There is nothing worse than being late to a job, so be sure to communicate with your clients if you’re running late. Let the customer know at least 30 minutes before that you are running behind schedule.
Arrival at the customers home – Once you park outside the customer’s home, assume they have seen you. So don’t be lazy or clumsy getting out of the van, be ready and attentive.
Introducing yourself – Introduce yourself by your name and the company you work for and then proceed to hand them a business card. This allows for an easy connection between the customer and yourself and looks really good!
Setting up – Once common ground has been established, it’s a good idea to give the customer a brief overview of what to expect throughout the service.
